The moment I came across this beauty, I knew she was coming home with me! This gorgeous 1.50ct oval old mine cut diamond has the face-up spread of a 2.50ct diamond! That’s an entire carat of additional visual presence without the additional price tag. And if you know old cut diamonds, you know that finding this kind of spread, especially with such beautiful proportions and quality, is something worth getting excited about!

And she certainly doesn't disappoint in the quality department! VS2 clarity and J color, although I have to tell you, in person she faces up remarkably white, much closer to a G color, even against the warmth of yellow gold. She has that wonderful, lively sparkle that I adore in old mine cuts, with each hand-cut facet reflecting light in its own beautiful way.

We chose to set her in our classic Georgian-inspired gypsy setting, crafted in solid 18k yellow gold with a soft matte finish. There is something so incredibly luxurious about this combination. The rich, buttery gold, the understated simplicity of the design, and that gorgeous diamond taking center stage. It's the very definition of quiet luxury. Nothing excessive, nothing trying too hard.
