Lordy, do I have an incredible emerald for you. đź’š This beautifully preserved French ring features a 2.11-carat Colombian Emerald Minor accompanied by a C.Dunaigre Report. The stone has lovely clarity and that wonderfully vibrant, saturated color that makes a truly exceptional emerald so captivating.
In person, the color is incredibly balanced—it doesn’t lean too green or too blue. It has that rich, luminous quality that seems to glow from within. When you hear collectors talk about the elusive “emerald glow,” this is exactly what they mean.
And while the emerald itself is exceptional, there are several details that make this ring even more special. The 2.11-carat size is perfect for everyday wear, while the original French hallmark provides a wonderful piece of provenance and adds another layer of historical significance. Not every antique emerald ring retains its original hallmark, making this an especially lovely detail to find.
I also adore the delicate proportions of the setting. Rather than competing with the emerald, the design allows it to take center stage. Within the halo, slightly darker diamonds were thoughtfully used to create contrast, making the emerald appear even more vibrant while surrounding it with just the right amount of antique sparkle.
This is, hands-down, one of my favorite finds of the entire year.
