*note- lower portion of the band was sized at one point and was sized using 14 karat white gold. The rest of the ring, and the setting is solid platinum, but the lower portion of the band was enlarged using 14 karat white gold.
Also, due to the age of the ring, the amethyst does show some scratches to the stone. This can easily be polished by any local jeweler, but I left this up to the decision of the buyer, as some collectors prefer to leave rings in their original condition.
